far pastures turned up the goods today with 2 wintering chiffchaffs! also 2 skiens of pink footed geese over (1st 126, 2nd 97), also new for the year at fp for me nuthatch, willow tit,goldcrest, pied wag, buzzard and treecreeper. kingfisher was the star at shibdon this am, taking my gateshead year list to 61. no sign of any med gulls on the tyne at the black headed gull pre roost gathering near costco, but 2000+ bhgulls put on a great show. film only shows some of the birds coming to the mudflats.
