Northumberland day out

Had a trip to Northumberland today, target birds were Purple heron, Arctic tern, Tree pipit and Puffin. Started off at east chevington where the Purple heron had been reported the day before, didnt take long before i was onto the Purple heron in the reeds, also had a couple of bonus birds here, a fly over Cuckoo and Great white egret :0 couldn't believe my luck when the gwe flew over heading north, which was relocated later in the day at hauxley nr. Arctic tern was on the north pool and a male marsh harrier and a grasshopper warbler was reeling. Next stop was hauxley nr where i had med gull, whimbrel, female marsh harrier and Puffin out at sea around coquet island, next i was of to wingates where i had 2 Tree pipits, great day out in northumberland :)
