Most wanted bird "ticked"
At last! on tuesday morning i finally ticked Hoopoe :):):) my most wanted bird and what a cracker it was, watched it at close range for a couple of hours in the rain but that didn't put me off watching this stunning bird go about its business. Great morning had to come to an end as i had to get back to finish the painting :( here's a few shots i managed in shocking conditions.

Superb!!! what a stunner. Just love that 1960s doctor who wing pattern in flight (?) And what a bird to beat your previous best year list on. Rest on your laurels now mate, it doesn't get any better than this.
